Official referee education partner with Hampshire FA

Grassroots Referees is delighted to announce a new venture with Hampshire FA as its official Referee Education Partner for the 2025/26 season.

HYL Junior Referee of the Year

Congratulations to Nathaniel Burns for winning Junior Referee of the Year at the Hunts Youth League (HYL). 

What's even more impressive is that this was Nathaniel's first season with HYL! The award recognises Nathaniel's dedication and professionalism. As a young referee, Nathaniel has quickly earned the respect of team coaches across the league. 

Partnering with Lincolnshire FA for Ref Development

Grassroots Referees is proud to announce a new referee development partnership with Lincolnshire Football Association, focused on nurturing the growth and progression of referees across the county.

As part of this collaboration, we have provided equipment starter packs to 220 new referees completing their training with Lincs FA, helping to build confidence and professionalism from the very first match. 

Celebrating HYL's Adult Referee of the Year

We are delighted to congratulate Richard Hart, who was awarded Adult Referee of the Year for the Hunts Youth League (HYL).

For many seasons, Richard has been a familiar and respected presence across the HYL pitches. Known for his professionalism and consistency, Richard represents everything grassroots football values in its referees. Coaches and players alike appreciate his commitment and are extremely grateful for his services.

GFA Match Official of the Year Award sponsor

We were delighted to supply Dorset County Football Association with 56 of our popular purple referee shirts for their County Cup Final match officials.
