A new era in officiating apparel begins with our launch of the GR Women’s Referee Kit. It is purpose-built for women, designed in conjunction with and tested by female referees using authentic feedback.
The new kit redefines performance and professionalism on the field, offering a female-specific fit that combines comfort, functionality and wearability in every detail. Developed through direct collaboration with active officials, it reflects real-world experience, Grassroots Referees Ltd innovation and a commitment to excellence.
“Female referees deserve apparel that works as hard as they do,” said Steve Chittenden, Founder of Grassroots Referees Limited. “Every aspect of this kit – from fit and fabric to washability and wearability – has been engineered for the realities of the game. It’s about enabling confidence, movement and command. We are delighted to have worked with referees of different levels, ages, shapes and sizes to ensure it is fit for purpose.”
In developing this kit, we took on board user feedback. We understand that one size does not fit all, so referees are not restricted by prescribed sizes and can order shirts, shorts and socks individually when they buy the set rather than being locked into a particular size, eg, 8–10 top and 12–14 bottoms or 16–18 top and 12–14 bottoms. We wanted to enable more choice when buying.
